Guys, I am still trying to wrap my mind around this.  An institution that almost literally has more money than god declaring it can no longer afford it’s librarians.

  6. othemts said: It’s not about money. It’s about them wanting to run the library like a “business.” Which somehow involves all of us filling out something called “employee profiles” to reapply for our jobs. It’s incompetent and cruel.

  10. yolaleah said: I think there’s actually a bit more to what is going on here. As far as I can tell, they didn’t just lay off their entire staff. They are reorganizing their “shared services.” One thing is for sure: Harvard has a SERIOUS PR issue.
